Here at Crackerjack Toys, we adore Summer.
It's true. We look forward to it, count down towards it, and joyfully stock up in anticipation of it (hello Christmas! Oh hey there school holidays!).
Summer fills our beautiful toy shop with new stock – with pool floats, outdoor games, and beach sets. We’re bursting at the seams with colourful micro scooters, swimming bathers and summer clothing, and have books and games as far as the eye can see. Summer, we’re ready for you!
What does Summer bring to mind for you?
For me, it’s coconut-scented sunscreen, sand-covered towels, hunks of watermelon, and green-tinted blonde hair. It's school holidays, lazy mornings, swimming pools, and lying under the fan in the heat of the day. It’s the lead up to Christmas, and the comedown too, and bringing in the new year under a hot starry sky to the sound of cicadas.

Just between us, it’s also reminding the kids that “bored” is just an opportunity to be creative, and that outside play is preferable to too much time inside.
Having the right toys on hand to encourage our kids to make the most of our Australian summers can certainly help. And if you can tie it in with your Christmas shopping it’s a double win!
Whether you have a pool at home, use a friends, or head down to your local pool, having a floatie will keep the kids laughing and playing for hours.
