Scuttle back over 180 years with me, Thibault, an eccentric plush lobster from 1800s Paris. They say I once belonged to poet Gérard de Nerval, who paraded me through the Palais-Royal on a blue ribbon. Was I poetry in motion?

With a velvet-red shell and a flair for the theatrical, I’m stitched in homage to Nerval’s curious companion. As he famously said, “Why should a lobster be any more ridiculous than a dog?” Touché, non?

Warm hand wash or gentle machine wash with like colours, maximum 40°C/ 105°F. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean. Line dry in shade or gentle/low tumble dry. Discontinue use immediately if the item is damaged or frayed.
